Infrared  In laser engraving, infrared refers to electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths longer than those of visible light, typically in the range of 700 nanometers (nm) to 1 millimeter (mm). Infrared lasers are commonly used in engraving systems for their ability to penetrate certain materials more effectively than visible light, allowing for deeper engraving depths and enhanced material processing capabilities.
