Business Services: The Old Print Gallery was established in historic Georgetown in 1971. We have since grown into one of the largest, most diverse and respected print and map shops in the United States. Our clients include museums, private and corporate collections, designers and the public buying for home and office. In 2007 we merged with The Old Print Shop of New York City. We invite you to visit them in Manhattan at 150 Lexington Avenue or at www.oldprintshop.com. We also invite you to visit our Old Print Gallery blog for gallery updates, printmaking explanations, and map history.
Our modern and contemporary collection was significantly expanded in summer and fall 2010, and we now feature a wide selection of work by 20th and 21st century printmakers. We also regularly curate shows, often featuring local artists. Our new contemporary show, Water, opens on July 20, with a nighttime reception from 5-8pm. Water will remain on view until September 14, 2012.

Our historical collection includes maps and prints on nearly all subjects from the 19th century and earlier. All prints are original, not reproductions.
American and Foreign Maps depict all parts of the world. We also offer celestial maps and sea charts.
American and Foreign Views include topographical and street scenes, bird's-eye views, and illustrations of events and landmarks.

Americana consists of portraits and historical scenes illustrating the American Revolution, Civil War, Western settlement, industrialization, and political events.

Natural history subjects include botanicals and fruit, as well as birds, fish, animals, shells, and butterflies.

Nautical scenes depict yachting, naval history, and commercial shipping in port and on the high seas.

Sporting pictures range from hunting and fishing to sports and games such as tennis, rowing, and football.

Genre pictures show scenes of everyday life, focusing on people at work and leisure, in both cities and rural areas.
